Ronald Eugene Blocker Sr.

Ronald Eugene Blocker Sr., age 62, of Lake Charles, Louisiana passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022. Gene was born December 5, 1959 in Lake Charles and was a native of Westlake and resident of Moss Bluff, La. Gene graduated from Westlake High School Class of 1977. He retired from Halliburton Oil Industry as a Manager over the Cement Division after 30 years of service and was a former owner of Hector's Cigar Bar in Magnolia, Tx. Gene enjoyed the Dallas Cowboys, Harley Davidson, woodworking, cooking and cigars.

Gene is preceded in death by his parents: Everett and Peggie Blocker.

Those left to cherish his memory are one son: Buck Blocker and wife Shelley of Iowa, La. One daughter: Ashley Rodrigue and husband Josh of Iowa, La. One sister Denise Rougeou and husband Rusty of Westlake. Two nephews: Lewis and Graham Rougeou of Westlake, La. And four grandchildren: Hannah, Channing and Leah Rodrigue of Iowa, La. and Daylon Blocker of Iowa, La.

A graveside service will be held Friday, May 20th at 10:00 AM at Magnolia Cemetery in Westlake, La. Reverend Ann Harrell will preside. The family has entrusted Cremation to Hixson Funeral Home, Lake Charles, La.
