Patrick Henson

Patrick ‘Pat’ Henson was born in Houston Texas on March 26th 1958 to

Mickey and Jacquelyn Henson. Patrick was blessed with a large family. He

enjoyed spending time traveling and playing games with his parents and five

siblings, with much teasing from his older brothers including crazy

nicknames like Casa Mole.Patrick loved music. He was very proud of his vast music collection that

varied from Anne Murray to Hank Williams to Broadway Musicals.

Married to Terry Henson on February 16, 1982 they were blessed with

daughters Shana in 1983 and Janie in 1985. Their romance turned into a

friendship that lasted a lifetime. He was a dedicated father and was

anxiously awaiting the arrival of his grandson James Brooks Green.

After residing in Beaumont and Houston for many years, Patrick moved to

Austin where he was a dedicated employee at Gtech Corporation. He

worked in the customer service department and greatly enjoyed interacting

with customers and this made him well regarded and loved by his

coworkers. While living in Austin, Patrick grew closer to his daughters and son in law,

David. Patrick spent all of his free time with his family enjoying family

dinners, eating pints of ice cream, dancing with his daughters, singing

karaoke and shopping for the expected baby.

Patrick is survived by his daughters Janie Henson of Austin, TX and Shana

Green and husband David Green of Round Rock TX,

and his dog Parker. Two brothers Michael Henson and wife Kimberly, Clete

Henson and two sisters Kelly Natali and Charles, Kristy Hollan. He is

predeceased by his parents Mickey and Jacquelyn Henson and brother Joe

Henson. His funeral will be at 10AM Monday July 9th 2012 at Hixson Funeral Home of

Westlake. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5PM - 8PM at the funeral

home. Interment will be at Westlake Memorial Park. Pallbearers to serve

are Mike Henson, Clete Henson, David Green, Charles Natali, Clint Carver

and Kris Hollan.
