James "Bubba" Daniel Spell Sr., age 60, of Westlake, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. "Bubba" was born March 4, 1961 in Lake Charles, Louisiana son of David Daniel Spell and Carolyn Gafford Spell.
James also know as "Bubba" by his family and friends. He enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing or just sitting by a campfire. He also liked to cook, grill and barbeque while spending time with his family, grandchildren, and friends. Bubba was an Ironworker by trade and was a member of the Ironworkers Union 678.
James was preceded in death by his parents. His loving wife of 29 years Robyn Russell Spell.
Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, James Daniel Spell Jr. and wife Christina of Crosby TX, Michael Spell and wife Britney of Sulphur, LA; brothers, Mark Spell and wife Tammy of Lake Charles, LA, Jeffery Spell and wife Cindy of Moss Bluff, LA, Gerald Spell and wife Sherri of Ragley, LA, David Spell and wife Tina of DeQuincy, LA; sister, Pamela Courville and husband Shane of Moss Bluff; grandchildren, James Daniel Spell lll, Grace Rose Spell, Julia Rose Spell; beloved girlfriend of 5 years, Zelda Chesson.
A Visitation for James Spell will be held Monday March 29, 2021 at Hixson Funeral home of Westlake from the hours of 10am until the time of service. The funeral Service will be held at the funeral home and will begin at 12pm. Burial will follow at Westlake Memorial Park.
