Richard was predeceased by his son Gregory. He was a caring husband, father, grandfather and friend to many who considered family and friends life’s best reward.
Born in Nelson, BC on September 21, 1929, the only son of Caleb and Margaret Ramsden, Richard spent his early life in Revelstoke, BC. He graduated from the University of British Columbia and became a finance executive in the heavy construction industry. After his family, he was most proud to have worked with the generation of engineering and business innovators who contributed in a major way to the development of hydroelectric technology, power transmission infrastructure, and pulp and paper manufacturing processes, both within Canada and internationally. He was truly part of the generation who built British Columbia.
