Mary passed away quietly at home with husband Dennis and caregiver Rosie, the evening
of Tuesday, August 10th at the age of 85. She is survived by husband Dennis; daughters
Marnie and Tracey; grandchildren Justin, Craig, Shae and Paige; sister Margaret; nephews Brent
and Garth; niece Sandra and their families; sister-in-law Lynn; and brother-in-law Bill. Predeceased
by mother Alice Webster, father Ernie Webster and granddaughter Amanda Roll.
Dennis (aka Denny) expressed that Mary always went along with his wild ideas as they travelled
through 63 years together, 61 years married.
Carrying on her mother Alice’s legacy, she was an amazing listener, trusted advisor and council for many - both family and friends.
She was a voracious reader, never ceasing to amaze how quickly she could read, right to the end
of her days.
Known for her great sense of humour and appreciation for good jokes, we shared good
laughs and enjoyed her knowing smile right to the end of her amazing life - and what a life it was
including: teaching, dogs, boats, Hawaii, Whistler, Palm Springs, Europe, Caribbean, Panama,
Mexico, dancing, Carolships, major dinner parties and New Years celebrations, and oh so many
family and friends get togethers.
She would burst into song for any occasion and easily recited every nursery rhyme by heart.
She spent her last few weeks on the boat in Desolation Sound and on Savary Island with family
and friends, arriving back to her loving home where she peacefully passed away.
You are dearly missed by all that knew you. RIP
