William Fife Bowen III returned to Heavenly Father and reunited with his daughter, passing away at home on June 18, 2021, with his loving companion and children by his side. Born June 6, 1938, in Magna, UT to William Fife Bowen Jr. and Thelma Ethel Hendricks Bowen.
Fife is a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. He is loved by many. A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Fife and Lela (high-school sweethearts) married June 21, 1957, where they began their forever family in the Salt Lake Temple.
Fife attended Cyprus High School along with Trade Technical College where he received his Machinist trade. He worked for Kennecott Copper Corporation in the Refinery and the City of West Jordan as a mechanic. Many of his great accomplishments are Volunteering as a Firefighter in Magna, Mechanic, Machinist, Scout Master and as an Executive Secretary for West Jordan 28th ward.
He used his skills to design and build things with his hands, some of which could not be bought. Fife always had exquisite craftsmanship in all his work, he took great pride in all he did. He enjoyed the wonderful outdoors along with the sand dunes.
Fife amazed us with his unspoken testimony, his humor, his generosity, kind spirit and mostly his intelligent knowledge and wisdom.
Fife’s priorities are first his family and friends in good or difficult times. We will cherish his legacy and his leadership. Fife is loved and respected by many and will be greatly missed.
Survived by his wife, Lela Fay Bawden Bowen, William Fife Bowen IV (Lorri), Sandy Gage (Phillip), Kim Ogden (Randy) and Nomi Booth (Bryan). 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren. Charles Bowen (brother), Jane Bailey (sister).
Preceded in death by daughter Dawn Fay, parents, grandson Samuel, sister Karen, plus several other family members and friends.
