Sandra Lee Petersen of West Valley City, Utah, passed away peacefully in her home on February 23, 2017. Sandra was born January 22, 1943 to Burke and Beverly Bridwell, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was the oldest of ten children.
She took joy in helping others. One of her many passions was shopping, and looking forward to her visits from family and friends. Sandra worked for many years as a caretaker for senior citizens, handicap and adults struggling with addiction. She was baptized Jehovah’s Whiteness, where she gained many friends who cared and loved her.
Sandra is survived by her three children, Toni Christenson, Rex (Shelli) Christenson, and Troy Petersen; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren, three sisters; one brother; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Sandra was preceded in death by her loving husband, John “Kern” Petersen, parents, three brothers, and two sisters.

Sandra was loved dearly and will be missed by all who knew her.
Sandra’s final resting place will be Memorial Estates Cemetery. As per her request, there will be no services.
