8/2/15 ~ 8/30/15
Owen David Wells passed away peacefully in the arms of his parents, after a struggle with Congenital Heart Disease and other health issues.
Owen is the son of Jason and Nicole Wells. He was a long awaited blessing they had spent many years praying for. In such a short time, his life and sweet spirit managed to impact so many. Owen was a sweet and mellow boy. He put up with so much but rarely cried. He was a favorite of many of the nurses at Primary Children’s Hospital. Owen rarely opened his eyes but had such an expressive brow it was easy to know what he was feeling. He would always try to open his eyes to see his grandma singing “his” song. If you were lucky enough to see his beautiful blue eyes, you could see him take in so much and show you the depth of his sweet little soul. Owen was our “little warrior” who fought for every day he had and blessed us with an unforgettable 28 days.
Owen is survived by his parents Jason and Nicole (Opoulos) Wells, maternal grandparents Dave and Becky Opoulos, paternal grandparents Jay and Dina Wells, many aunts, uncles, a cousin and a large extended family that love him dearly. Preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Renee Brunker.
Owen’s family would like to thank Primary Children’s NICU and especially the nurses and staff that took such good care of sweet Owen day in and day out.
Services will be held Friday September 4, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Highbury Ward House, 3372 South Merry Lane (5275 West) West Valley City. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be at Valley View Cemetery 4335 W 4100 S West Valley City.
