She was born on September 3, 1950, to Sharon Holgate and Lorna Jenkins Holgate Oviatt. She married Ronald Ray Goodrich in the Salt Lake temple on September 18, 1969, for all time and eternity.
She was known for her love, kindness, service, faith, and especially for her sense of humor. Although she was very sick and in an immense amount of pain the last couple weeks, she was still cracking jokes and making us all smile and laugh.
She was constantly serving others which was her passion. She loved to take a plate of cookies to new families moving into the neighborhood. She spent countless hours making quilts to give to those she loved and gave many quilts to people she didn’t even know. She worked for hospice and with special needs children for many years and fell in love with all those she worked with. She was a true giver, not a receiver. She loved her children and grandchildren very much, and they all loved her back. She was loved by so many and will be missed dearly.
She is survived by her husband Ronald Goodrich and their 5 children. Greg Goodrich, Chad (Kari) Goodrich, Tammy (Mike) Williams, Stacy (Scott) Erickson, and Steven (Jessica) Goodrich. Her siblings Gloria (Dennis) Manning, Ranae (Scott) Thornton, Ralph Holgate, and brother-in-law Clair Simmons, as well as her 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
We would like to thank the doctors, ICU nurses, rehab, and all other hospital staff that took such great care of her. We also want to thank all our extended family and many friends, for all the love we have received during this very difficult and trying time.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law Raymond Goodrich, mother-in-law Editha Goodrich, Mother Lorna, Father Sharon, her dear sister Janet, brother-in-law Craig Christensen, sister-in-law Lynn Holgate, her nephew Jared Manning, and many other family members and friends that had gone before her.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 27, 2022, at 12 noon, in the Heritage Ward Building. There will be a viewing in her honor from 10-11:45 am. The address is: 4634 West Harmon Drive (3700 S.).
