Feb 19, 1931 - Mar 07, 2014
Margaret Inez Hudson Park left this earth life peacefully and went to see her Heavenly Father and waiting husband, Budd, on March 7, 2014.
Born February 19, 1931 to parents Dora Ella Duncan and Raymond Claiborne Hudson. She lived her youth in the Union area and went to Jordan High School. Margaret married Melvin Budd Park on May 20, 1950 in Elko, Nevada and later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple January 10, 1961. They lived in Kearns for more than 40 years where they raised their seven children and made many lasting memories and friends. Margaret was a very giving person. She spent her life giving of her time and talents to her husband and beloved children. It was said in her patriarchal blessing that she would “work with the youth of Zion and the poor and needy.” Margaret’s blessing was fulfilled when she worked in the elementary school system as a teacher’s aide helping children learn to read and write. Following her public school service, she worked for the State of Utah at the Social Service/Welfare Department helping those that needed assistance. Margaret loves the Lord Jesus Christ and has a strong faith and testimony of Him and His teachings. She served a LDS mission, with her husband and companion, to the Atlanta Georgia Mission where they assisted with records filming at the State of Georgia Archives. Margaret adored her sisters Lillian, Annette and Linda and treasured their pictures and visits, especially in her late years. She also had close, special friendships with neighbors, brothers and sisters-in-law that she developed over the years. Weekend get-togethers, playing card games, eating and laughing always made her happy. Her hobbies included reading love stories, watching her children participate in athletics, watching her beloved University of Utah sports, sneaking out to movies with one of her kids or a friend, going out to eat at restaurants, going to the family cabin for a nice weekend, and being with her husband and family.
She is survived by her sisters Lillian (Dave) Tibbs, Annette (Robert) Smith and Linda (Will) Rose; 6 sons and 1 daughter Randy (Peggy) Park, Greg Park, Bill (Teri) Park, Todd (Diane) Park, Melanie Schrock, Lynn (Sharon) Park and Jeff (April) Park; 27 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; brothers Doland Earl Hudson; and her parents.
Margaret, along with her family, would like to express their gratitude to the care givers of the many assisted living homes where she spent her last years, especially Abbington Manor and their wonderful staff.
