Helen Miller Schultz of West Seneca, New York, passed away December 13, 2024 at the age of 89.
Helen was born in Pennsville, NJ the daughter of Johanna and William Miller. After graduation from high school, Helen worked in Wilmington, DE as a secretary for several years. It was there she met her future husband, Richard Schultz, whom she married in 1956.
While living in West Seneca and raising three girls, Helen was an assistant Girl Scout Leader for seven years. She was also a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church Altar Guild who used her handiwork with embroidery to make all the altar cloths. Later, Helen returned to the workforce working 20 years for the Erie County Public School system as an Accounts Payable Administrator. Upon her retirement, she volunteered at Southtowns LADD Thrift Shop, traveled with her family, and continued to enjoy her embroidery and quilting projects.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Smith, and a son-in-law, Keith Borchert.
Survivors include her husband of 68 years Richard Gray Schultz; three daughters Diane Powell, Linda Borchert (Doug Smith) and Carol Grossi (Fred); six grandchildren Karen, Andrea, Steven, Jessica, Caitlin and April; three great grandchildren Hannah, Juliet, and Eliana, and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank The Greenfields Continuing Care Community for their kind and gentle care throughout the past few years.
Helen, and her spunk, will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Services will be held privately for the family.
