Mr. Hutchinson 70 years young, passed away suddenly & unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at Homestead Hospital. He was born on December 29, 1939 in Salem, NJ to the late William S. Hutchinson and the late Mary Alice (nee Munyen) Hutchinson. He was a former resident of Loxahatchee, FL and more recently resided in Chiefland, FL. Hutch was a High School Graduate and held multiple degrees in various fields of study.
He was an Honorably Discharged Naval Veteran serving from 1957 until 1960. Mr. Hutchinson’s primary occupation was an Operating Engineer in the Heavy Construction Industry for numerous years. Hutch volunteered with the Tri-County Toys for Tots Toy Run for six years and was a 32nd Degree Mason with his home Brown Lodge #51 F&AM in Chiefland, FL and a Masonic Senior Warden for the past 25 years and an Abate Member. He also volunteered work with the Hospice organization and loved to hunt, ride motorcycles, and play music. Hutch was the kind of man that was a brother to his friends and they didn’t mind telling him that they loved him. He was a plethora of knowledge and allowed his friends and family to tap into his knowledge base.
Hutch was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather for over 40 years and leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife, Valeria Hutchinson, children; Lisa Marino, and William Dean Hutchinson, grandchildren; Steven Marino, and Michelle Marino, niece, Barbara Thompson, sister, Joyce Pope, and cousins, Irene Needles, Buddy Needles and Punkin Needles.
Friends may come and pay their respect from 2PM – 4PM, Monday, October 11, 2010 at Mizell-Faville-Zern Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 6411 Parker Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33405 with a Celebration of Life Service beginning at 3PM on Monday in the funeral home chapel. The United States Navy will bestow Military Honors upon the family and the local Masonic body will present Masonic rites at the funeral home as well on Monday. Those planning expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers may donate to the Tri-County Toys for Tot drive in Loving Memory of William Nelson Hutchinson.
Friends will have another opportunity to pay their respects to the family of Mr. Hutchison within the next week at his hometown in Chiefland, FL to be formerly announced.
