Pura Concepcion Santos, age 85, passed away on December 31, 2022. Pura was born December 8, 1937 in Calabazar de Sagua, Las Villas, Cuba. She received her Associates Degree in Sewing and Design. She married Manuel Santos on January 8, 1960 in West Palm Beach, FL; they were married 61 years before her passing. Pura worked in Fashion design and as a seamstress in Palm Beach for J. Jonas, Martha’s Boutique and Saks Fifth Avenue for more than 50 years. Pura volunteered at St. Juliana’s School, enjoyed a very active travel life with her husband Manuel visiting 49 countries.
She is survived by husband, Manuel Santos; daughters Lisa MacFarland (Chris) and Mary Olsen (Bob); her grandchildren Matthew MacFarland (Jamie), Bridget Cofer (Kevin), Robert Olsen (Cathy), and Brian Olsen (Weslie); siblings Eladio Naranjo (Sofia), Luisa Jacome (Israel), Mirta Velazco (Jesus), Neyda Beswick (Alan), Pedro Rosa; and great grandchildren Michael, Annalee, Charlotte, Finley, Donovan and Berkley in addition to multiple nieces and nephews and her God Daughter Maria Victoria Padron.
She was preceded in death by her parents Antonio Naranjo and Virginia Reyes Naranjo, as well as her sisters Estervina Naranjo and Iraida Rosa.
In lieu of flowers, memorials donations may be made to St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital. The family wishes to thank the medical Staff and doctors at Palms West Hospital for their loving and compassionate care.
