After supporting and realizing she was a part of an “American Dream”, Patricia Walker, age 87, was called to heaven on March 22, 2017. Born on February 16, 1930 in Rochester, NY to Mary Brady and John J. Flaherty, she made her mark with her witty personality, joyful sense of humor and everlasting love for her family. She soon met her husband, George Walker and married him on October 25, 1952 in Rochester, NY.
Pat always had a passion for taking care of others. She religiously supported her family, friends, and husband by putting their desires and wants first and helping them to achieve their dreams to their fullest potential. She committed her life to raising her six children while maintaining a lively welcoming home. With the passion and the love for the Irish culture, she often would celebrate with George by attending his music events and would often be seen with a huge smile on her face, clapping her hands, and singing along.
Pat lived a life centered around her faith and love for God. She was a faithful member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Faith and trust in the Lord was her guiding force in living out each and every day. As her journey continued, she consistently was the life and focal point of all the places she visited. The Walker family is forever grateful for the love, the outstanding compassion and the care given to Pat by the staff at the Vi Lakeside, Trustbridge, and her dedicated caregivers.
She is survived by her loving sister; Sister Kathleen Flaherty, brother-in-law, Thomas Flaherty, sisters-in-law, Mary Walker and Mae Aherne, children: Margaret Neddo (Art), George Walker, JR., Maureen Maynor (Bill DeMott), John J.
