Mackey, Patricia A., was born on March 2, 1943 in Nassau Bahamas to the late Samuel Farrington, Sr. and the late Louise (nee Hepburn) Farrington. Patricia migrated to the United States of America in 1961 coming from the Island of Nassau. Patricia was a LPN for over fifty years and worked on her own schedule with various agencies to fit into her families schedules. She loved her Lord and Savior and regularly attended the New Mount Calvary Holiness Church in Hollywood, FL and the Saint Agnes Episcopal Church in Miami, FL. Patricia enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her sister, Joyce and traveling to and from her home in the US to her birthplace in the Bahamas. Ms. Mackey was a warm, compassionate and caring person, who was always willing to give of herself to her family and friends. "No one was ever a stranger." Her family will forever cherish her warm smile and caring attitude. Survivors include her loving sons, Clarence L. Mackey, III of San Francisco, CA and Keith S. Mackey and his wife, Andrea H. of Wellington, FL; her adored grandson, Eric K. Mackey of Wellington, FL; her two loved sisters, Joyce Weaver and her husband, Bill of Hollywood, FL, and Roslyn Bowler of San Francisco, CA; and her admired brother, Samuel Farrington, Jr. and wife, Marie of Nassau Bahamas and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends and Family may pay respects and visit on Friday, March 30, 2012 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Southern Memorial Funeral Home, 15011 West Dixie Hwy., North Miami, FL 33181. A Celebration of Life Service for Patricia will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at the funeral home with Pastor Gilbert Hepburn officiating. Interment will follow in Southern Memorial Park, 15000 West Dixie Hwy., North Miami, FL 33181.
