Karen Beth Breen of Wellington, Florida was born April 18, 1970 and died June 21, 2015. Born in Methuen, Massachusetts, Karen served in the Air Force as an air traffic controller, graduating first in her class. She worked most recently as an air traffic manager at the Fort Lauderdale International Airport and previously at the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport, the West Palm Beach International Airport, and Akron Canton Airport.
She was soft, gentle, kind, fair, and precise. An avid reader and cat lover, Karen was also an accomplished snow skier, but preferred a warm climate and loved living in Florida. She excelled in making the holidays special for her family. Vacationing on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire with her family was something she cherished. Above all, she loved, adored, and praised her three beautiful girls and encouraged them to excel in everything they do.
Karen is survived by her daughters Chelsea Lord, Felicity Sabatino and Faith Sabatino of Wellington, her parents, Terrence and Maureen Breen of Seminole, Fla. and her sister, Kelly Gonya and husband Daniel, of Sturbridge, Mass.
At the request of the family the services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a fund established for the children. Checks should be payable to Chelsea Felicity Faith Fund and mailed to Floridian Community Bank at 1314 Greenview Shores Blvd., Wellington, FL 33414.
