John Michael Valiquette, 68, of West Palm Beach, Florida, passed away on April 27, 2022. John was born February 21, 1954, in Brookline, Massachusetts to the late John E. Valiquette and Patricia K. (Lewis) Valiquette. John grew up in Canton, Massachusetts, graduating from Canton High School in 1971.
John enlisted in the United States Navy at the age of 17, where he proudly served in the Vietnam War on the USS Sterett and the USS Mount Vernon. He was honorably discharged in 1973. After serving, John spent time traveling the entire country. In 1984, John moved to West Palm Beach, Florida to work in construction and build the beautiful coastal community we know today.
John was an active member of the organization, Veterans of Foreign Wars, where he served as a district commander. He was an avid motorcyclist and lifetime member of the motorcyclists’ rights group, American Bikers Aiming Toward Education. He felt most free on his motorcycle.
He had a larger-than-life personality and lived his life to the fullest. John loved his country and cherished his family and friendships.
John is survived by his children, Michael Valiquette and Danielle Valiquette, as well as his wife, Jamey (Lewis) Valiquette. John is also survived by his sister, Karen Valiquette, and his granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held at the Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation and Event Center on Saturday May 21, 2022, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., located at 5411 Okeechobee Blvd., West Palm Beach, Florida 33417.
