John was a WWII Army Veteran in the Pacific. He had volunteered at the WPB VA hospital for 25 years, and loved playing polo. Before retiring he was a Fire Fighter in Brockton, Ma, property manager and all around great guy.
John was predeceased by his son Peter J. Ford and his former wife Marjorie M. Ford, parents Joseph and Catherine Ford, siblings Joseph, Edward, Robert, and Ann.
John is survived by his loving wife Joan C. Ford and his brother Arthur Ford (Irene), Daughter Roberta A. Huber (Gary), Grandsons, Shawn (Megan), Jason (Rachel), Great Grandchildren Cameron, Oliver, and Brighton Huber and Joan’s family, Son Russell Tippett (Cathy), Daughter Barbara Estrada (Michael), Grandchildren, Robin, Casey, Erick (Jessica) Finnestead, Great Grandchildren Dillion, Damien, and Stella.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Quattlebaum Funeral Home in WPB, Fl.
John J Ford’s visitation will be held on Thursday, April 7, from 4 PM to 8 PM at the Quattlebaum Funeral Home, 5411 Okeechobee Blvd, West Palm Beach, Fl. 33417.
The Funeral Mass on April 8, at 10:30 AM at Mary Immaculate Church, Spencer Drive, West Palm Beach, Fl.
The graveside service will begin at 12:45 on Friday, April 8 at the South Florida National Cemetery (Lane 5) in Lake Worth, 650 South State Road 7, Lake Worth Fl. 33449.
