Ilyn Aditta Greene was born on March 22, 1928, to Evelyn and Jerimiah Edwards in Kendal, St. Mary, Jamaica. In 1952, Ilyn met Lessep Greene (Deceased) at St.Catherine, Jamaica. Ilyn and Lessep went on to have ten children.
In 1989, Ilyn migrated to Florida, USA where she spent her time enjoying her children, friends, and other relatives.
Her journey through this world spanned an incredible 95 years, leaving behind a legacy that will forever inspire us. She was a beacon of love, kindness, and strength.
She touched the lives of all who had the privilege to know her. Her warm smile, gentle words, and unwavering support could brighten even the darkest day. She possessed a rare ability to make everyone feel valued and loved, leaving an indelible imprint on their hearts.
As a mother, she showered her children with unwavering love, guiding us with wisdom and nurturing our dreams. She taught us the value of family, instilling in us the importance of togetherness and created the bond that held us close and united.
On June 3, 2023, Ilyn kept her divine appointment and went to sleep at approximately 7 AM.
She is survived by children Guy (Carmen), Luke (Olivia), Lesmond, Michael (Donna), Deserine, and Copeland (Sophia); her siblings, Fitzroy Edwards (Brenda), Eulalee Dobney, and Cislyn Taffe (Donald); 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and a host of grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Lessep Greene and four children (Melrose, Andrea, Dennis, and Donovan) and five siblings.
