Henrietta R. Oenbrink, 86 years old, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, died on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at the Jupiter Medical Center. Born in Harvey, IL on October 24, 1927 a daughter of Andrew and Irene Curzydel, Henrietta was a Florida resident since 1952. As a member of the Adrian Dominican religious congregation, she was known as Sr. Andrew Irene from 1944 until 1981 and served in an administrative position at St. Ann School in West Palm Beach for twelve years and at Holy Family School in St. Petersburg, FL for six years. Previous teaching positions were located in Detroit and throughout Florida.
In 1995, Henrietta was predeceased in death by Jerome C. Oenbrink, her husband of fourteen years. She was also predeceased by two sisters, Irene Westhoff and Jeannette Dreyer. She is survived by a devoted niece, Paulette Paquette and her husband, Ray of Demotte, IN. Additional survivors include Jerome's five children, Michael, Jerry Jr., Paula, Robert, and June Oenbrink, all of the North Palm Beach area; nieces and nephews, Susan Srednicki and Pam Malec both of Illinois, Gerardette and Donny Dayley of Colorado; several great nieces and great nephews; and many friends and co-workers.
The family will receive friends today, Friday, September 5, 2014 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Cremation and Event Center, 5411 Okeechobee Blvd, West Palm Beach 33417 with a Scripture Service to be held at 6:30PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00AM on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Palm Beach Gardens with Fr. Brian Flanagan, Pastor officiating. The family will also receive friends during a reception immediately following the Mass. A private graveside committal will take place at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens, West Palm Beach, FL.
