Dorothy June Wright, age 78, of West Palm Beach, Florida lost her battle with pancreatic cancer on Saturday November 15, 2014 in the comfort of her home. Dottie was born November 23, 1935 in Jasper, Alabama to Willie and Idella Mullins. She resided in Alabama until she moved to Florida in 1965. Dottie was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Int'l Sorority for over 45 years, during which time she won almost every award offered and received multiple rituals,
all leading up to the highest award available, The International Award of Distinction. Dottie was also a volunteer at the South Florida Fair for over 45 years.
She worked Guest Services until a few years ago when she and a group of her friends became the Centennial Belles, commemorating the 100th year of the fair. The Belles have continued to stroll the grounds in a variety of different themes while being ambassadors to the fair. She was also a long standing member of Community of Hope Methodist Church. She is survived by her children, Donna L. Blackwell (William), Jeffrey A. Wright, Robert E. Wright, II (Christina Maher), and Bradley D. Lewis. Grandchildren, (Debbie), William (Grace), Christopher (Dayna), Leigh Anne, Kristen (Bobby), Brittany, Anna, Ocean, and Idella. And great-grandchildren, Chris (Ashley), Holly, Michael, Caleb, Brianna, Cameron, Brailyn, Adalyn, Ryan, Taylor, and Kayli. She was pre-deceased by family members, Amy (Bruce), Jerry, and Michael. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Dottie's name ot St. Jude Children's Hospital, or Hospice of Palm Beach County.
