Mr. Jackson, age 89, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL formerly of Palm City and Lake Clarke Shores, Florida passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 21, 2010. Clark was born in Beaumont, Texas on September 2, 1921 to the late Mr. Clark L. Jackson, Sr. and the late Mrs. Jewel nee Williams Jackson. Mr. Jackson moved to Lake Clarke Shores with his wife, Virginia and two of his children in 1959 coming from Houston, TX. Clark matriculated from the University of Houston in 1950 with a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering. During the World War II era he honorably served his country for 4 years in the Pacific Theater as a Marine Aviation Mechanic. Highlights of Clark’s career included working as the Branch Manager for Griffin Wellpoint Corp.; Base Engineer on the AUTEC Naval Base on Andros Island, Bahamas; Project Manager for DeGouw & Sons; and Town Engineer in Jupiter for 10 years. Clark was an FES Florida Engineers in Construction President and was awarded “Engineer of the Year” in 1986 by the Palm Beach Chapter. He loved his Lord and attended Sunday morning worship with his family at First United Methodist Church of West Palm Beach and later at the First United Methodist Church of Stuart.
Clark leaves behind to cherish his memories, a loving and devoted wife, Virginia Jackson, most recently celebrating their 60th year of marriage on his 89th birthday; his children; Marsha Jackson of North Palm Beach, Keith (Cindy) Jackson of Wellington, Melisa (Jeff) Massey of Elkton, MD and Kerry Jackson of Palm Beach Gardens; his adored grandchildren, Brooke and Bradley Jackson; and his brother, Clyde Jackson of Dallas, TX.
Friends may visit and pay their respects to the family of Clark on Sunday, October 24, 2010 from 4PM – 8PM at Mizell-Faville-Zern Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 6411 Parker Ave., West Palm Beach, FL 33405. A Celebration of Clark’s life will be held 11 AM, Monday, October 25, 2010 at the Chapel of the United Methodist Church of the Palm Beaches, 900 Brandywine Road, West Palm Beach, FL 33409 with the United States Marine Corp presenting Military Honors in the chapel. Interment will follow in Fernhill Memorial Gardens in Stuart, FL. Those planning expressions of sympathy, may donate in Memory of Clark L.
