Christopher was born on February 17, 1959 in Flushing, New York and was a 1976 graduate of Sewanhaka High School in Floral Park, New York. Christopher went on to become a Licensed Practical Nurse in Lowell, MA, caring for geriatric psychiatric patients for many years. Afterwards Christopher became a licensed hairdresser while living in Laconia, NH. He moved to Key West, Florida where he worked in various businesses and finally settled in West Palm Beach. Christopher was an avid people caretaker. Taking care of other people first will always be what people remember when thinking of Christopher. He spent the past five years residing at the Boundbrook Condominiums, enjoying his time with his friends and neighbors in Cluster 9. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his three brothers, Nicholas, Louis (Christine), and John (Betsy); his nephews and nieces, Michael (Nicole), Matthew (Jen), Kristin Rose (Anthony), Louis Jr (Hannah), Samantha, James, Nicole (Sarah), Timothy, Emma Rose, Thomas, Daniel (Lauren) and Amanda; and his great nephews and nieces Aaliyah, Sophia, Lia, Luca, Angelina, Ella Rose and Anthony Vito.
Christopher was preceded in death by his partner of 15 years, Brian Irmler Crawford; his parents, John and Anita; and his older brother, Anthony.
Celebration of Life Services in New York will take place on Saturday, September 10 from 2:00 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Irish American Society Hall, 297 Willis Avenue, Mineola, New York.
Celebration of Life Services in Florida will take place on Saturday, October 22 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Boundbrook Clubhouse, 2601 Florida Mango Road, West Palm Beach.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be directed to Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League, www.peggyadams.org in honor of his beloved pet and companion, Brodie.
