She was a stunningly beautiful, gracious, courageous, smart, tough lady, with a wonderful personality who had a captivating way of touching the lives of all those who were fortunate to have known her. Lee, never putting herself first. She loved life and lived it to the fullest.
Arlene Leah (Lee) Norman. Palm Beach Gardens, Florida passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at the age of 80. Born in Ozone Park, NY on January 11, 1932, she attended Girls High and, after managing an insurance brokerage office in Manhattan, NY, married Guy Norman on November 27, 1957. She partnered with her husband in administering the operation of Guy Norman Ltd., an interior design and facilities planning firm, completing major projects both nationally and internationally. Always thinking of others, she also volunteered for many worthwhile charities and causes including The America Red Cross and the Veterans Center of Jupiter, Florida.
Her family was the center of her universe and she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Lee is survived by her husband Guy Norman; son Glenn Norman of Atlanta, GA; daughter Gayle Norman Carey (Bryan); 3 grandchildren – Christopher Carey, Sean Carey, and Emily Carey Meeker (Mark); and two great-grandsons – Hudson and Hunter Meeker, all of Charlotte, NC.
Services will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at 11:30 am at the I.J. Morris Funeral Home at 5411 Okeechobee Blvd., West Palm Beach, Florida 33417. Following the service, interment will be held at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens on 11520 State Road #7, Boynton Beach, Florida. After which, a joyous celebration honoring the life of Lee is planned for later that day.
