Maria Piedade D'Mello

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maria D’Mello on Wednesday, November 13th, at the age of 95. She was born and lived in Goa, India until she married the love of her life, Jerome, in 1951 in Bombay. They enjoyed a happy life together for 42 years. Maria was known for her strong will, unwavering determination and deep faith. She was a devoted housewife who lovingly cared for her family. She and her husband were devout members of St. Francis Xavier’s parish in Dabul, Bombay, India, for over 40 years.

Maria is preceded in death by her husband, parents, parents-in-law, and her brother Gregory. She is survived by her sons Olympio and Bosco, her daughters-in-law Angie and Pamela, and her two adoring grandchildren, Mirelle-Ann and Brendan, along with her loving sister, Catherine, and several extended family members. While our hearts mourn her loss, we take comfort in knowing she is now with God.

- Viewing at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home, 4115 Lawrence Ave, E, West Hill ON, M1E 2S2 on Wednesday, November 20 from 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm.

- Mass at St. Martin de Porres Church, 4179 Lawrence Ave E, Scarborough, ON M1E 2S3 on Thursday, November 21 at 10:30am. Reception to follow.
