Passed away peacefully with her son by her side on Friday, April 7th, 2023. Julka was born November 9th , 1934 in Brlog – Drenov Klanac in the former Yugoslavia. Reunited with her husband and soul mate Zivko (2012) . She leaves behind her son Nenad Budisavljevic and wife Anne-Marie. Loving baba to Stefan Budisavljevic, NIkola Budisavljevic and Kristopher Budisavljevic. Cherished sister of Petar (Mara) in Serbia. Julka was the youngest daughter of the late Staka (Zakula) and Ignjatija Lalic. Predeceased by brother Mihailo and sister- in-law Sentija and sister Milica and husband Ilija Vezmar of Serbia and Anka Vezmar and husband Dusan Vezmar of Windsor Ontario . She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and kumovi in Ontario, and Serbia. As a West Hill girl since 1959 she will be sadly missed by her neighbours, gardening friends and family Slava enthusiasts. The family wishes to thank the caring and thoughtful nephew, Milan Vezmar and niece Nedja Bancic.
Relatives and friends are welcome to gather at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home, 4115 Lawrence Ave. E., Scarborough, on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. with Prayers beginning at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Giffen-Mack on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. the Very Rev. Fr. Milos Puric officiating. An interment will take place at St. Margaret’s in the Pines Cemetery, 4130 Lawrence Ave. E., Scarborough. Following the interment, all are welcome to join the family at St. Arsenius of Srem Serbian Orthodox Church, 508 Byron Street South, Whitby, for a traditional lenten daca, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
