Born in Newton Village, Edinburgh, Scotland on October 3, 1920. WWII Wrens. Betty passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at the Baycrest Hospital at 92 years of age. She is pre-deceased by her loving husband of 71 years, Thomas (Tam) Gow, and her dear sister Doreen Fowler. Loving mother of Frances (James Duckworth), Michael (Mary), Bruce (Elizabeth), Patricia, Susan (Stuart Cooke) and Leonard (Fiona). Treasured Nana to 15 grandchildren, Great Nana to 17 great grandchildren and pre-deceased by one great grandchild. She will be dearly missed by her wee brother Rex Fowler (Mollie), many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
As per Betty’s wishes there will not be a funeral, however, the family will host a celebration of Betty’s life in Spring of 2013.
