Barbara Winnifred (Thetford) Hartwell

Barbara Winnifred (Thetford) Hartwell, age 89, of Scarborough, Ontario passed away peacefully at Scarborough General on Wednesday, November 3, 2021. Barbara was born March 8, 1932. She loved to go dancing with her late husband, and with her group of friends called “The Peek-a-booer’s”. Barbara was known to be a great homemaker and always looked forward to the holidays to spend time and spoil her grandchildren. She was an excellent knitter and wonderful baker especially Christmas cookies. Beloved wife to late Sydney Hartwell, Loving Mother to Ronald (Wendy), Late Linda, Terrence (Kim), and Deborah (Randy). Loving Gramma to Thirteen Grandchildren, Twenty-Three Great Grandchildren, Five Great Great Grandchildren, and many others who called her Gramma.

A visitation for Barbara will be held Monday, November 8, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 4115 Lawrence Ave East, West Hill, ON M1E2S2. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 11:00 AM, 4115 Lawrence Ave East, West Hill, ON M1E2S2. Proof of full vaccination, along with government issued ID, are mandatory to attend indoor funeral services for those age 12 and older. Mask Required.
