Andrew David Murphy

Andrew was born on November 15, 1982 in Mt. Kisco, N.Y., to William and Diane (Auby) Murphy. He loved sports and spent countless hours playing soccer, baseball, and basketball. He also enjoyed riding his dirt bike and spent many hours blazing new trails with his brothers. He later attended Nauset Regional High School where he played varsity soccer.

Andrew loved Cape Cod where he earned a contractor’s license and became an accomplished carpenter. His fine work is evident throughout many homes on the Cape.

He was always a quiet man of few words, but could surprise with his wry sense of humor. When he spoke people listened. Always gentle, kind, loving, and hard-working, he sought to do his best.

He was a loving son to his parents Bill and Diane. He is survived by his three brothers, Ross, Evan, and Colin, and he leaves behind his former wife Lauren Tobin.

His family would like to thank all of his friends in the fellowship that helped him through difficult times.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Doane, Beal, and Ames Funeral Home, 260 Main St. (Rte 28) in West Harwich, MA.

A service will be held at 11 am on Friday, March 8, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Island Pond Cemetery in Harwich.
