Thomas “Tommy” Steven Compiano Jr. passed away at Broadlawns Hospital on Thursday, December 12, 2024. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at McLaren’s Resthaven Chapel in West Des Moines. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines.
Tommy was born on February 20, 1983 to Thomas and Pamela Compiano in Des Moines, IA. He was a lover of all kinds of music. Tommy went to study music in St. Paul, MN from 2003 to 2005. Tommy enjoyed playing his own creations as well as listening to independent artists. His greatest passion was animals, especially dogs. There wasn’t a creature on this planet he did not love. His cherished dogs proved to be his best friends and his family. There was Zach, Zeus, Charlie, Eddie, Zeb, Brutus, and Joker. Everywhere that Tommy went, you were sure to find his dog.
Tommy is survived by his father, Thomas Compiano (Janet Hagen); sisters, Christy (John) Heitzman, Kerry (Kevin) Beverage, and Lindsay Compiano; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Pam; and both sets of grandparents, Hap and Lillian Barbour and John and Kay Compiano.
