She was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada to Joseph and Rosalie Suchomel on April 1, 1938. She graduated from St. Theresa College in 1960 and started her career as a teacher in Chicago, IL. During her time in Chicago, she met and married Robert (Bob) Brown Stacy on July 20, 1965. Rosalie taught CCD and English as a second language at the College of Lake County while being a homemaker and devoting her life to her faith and service to her community of Libertyville, IL.
Rosalie and Bob retired to Fairfield Glade, TN where she enjoyed reading, playing bridge, traveling internationally, and spending time with family and friends. Bob and Rosalie then moved back to Iowa where she was a parishioner at St. Pius Catholic Church in Urbandale, IA. She is preceded in her death by her husband of 52 wonderful years, Bob, her sister Charlotte and brother Joe. She is survived by her sister (Janet), two sons, Mark (Nancy) and Steve (Lisa) as well as five grandchildren (Mark Jr, Andrew, Danielle, Allison, and Jennifer).
She will reside next to her husband at McLaren’s Resthaven Cemetery. Any donations in her memory can be directed to Catholic Charities or Taylor House Hospice.
