In her younger years it was a card and a present, in her later years it was a card with money enclosed. She never forgot someone’s special day. In her younger years she had a love of horses, collected clown pictures and figurines, and the highlight of her summer was going to the Iowa State Fair with her sister.
Mary Ann is survived by her brother, Stanley (Jeane) Kane; sister, Wilma (Bill) Head; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at McLaren’s Chapel. Memorial contributions may be directed to Bright Kavanagh House, 3000 Easton Blvd., Des Moines, IA 50317.
