Her vibrant personality, entrepreneurial spirit, love of track and field, and her innumerable successes in life, including 40 years in the maternity shop business and 16 years of outstanding sales and customer service performance at Von Maur, will be remembered and honored at her Celebration of Life.
Following Janelle’s wishes, an upbeat event will be held on Saturday, April 23 at McLaren’s Chapel at 801-19th St. in West Des Moines beginning at 1 pm. The family will receive the multitude of Janelle’s friends, associates, and acquaintances beginning at noon at McLaren’s, preceding the Celebration of Life. Janelle will be laid to rest at Resthaven Cemetery.
Those left to honor her legacy are her son, Chip (Mary Beth), daughter, Melissa, and three granddaughters, Makenzie, Seryna, and Elyse. Janelle’s husband and entrepreneurial business partner, Mike, predeceased her in 1988.
