Curtis W. Alber, 66, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the Kavanagh House on 56th Street in Des Moines. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, at McLaren’s Chapel with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.
Curtis was born December 18, 1946 in Des Moines, IA to William Otto and Grace Alber. He enjoyed sailing his 32 inch model yacht. He was a member of the American Model Yachting Association and enjoyed taking road trips.
Curtis is survived by his wife, Jane Alber; uncle, Robert Worthington; nephew, Ken Cook; many cousins and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ken and Fararline Cook and brother-in-law, Bob Cook.
