Christopher Wadlington passed away December 6, 2023 and was a beloved son and brother. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Valley Church in West Des Moines followed by a service at 11 a.m.
Chris was born in Chicago, IL in 2005. He and his family moved to the Des Moines area in the summer of 2015 for a fresh start and new opportunities. Chris was a light and joy to everyone he came in contact with even as a small boy. He was a pure soul who would "give you the shirt off his back" holding others happiness with the utmost esteem.
Chris was a talented and smart young man. He was an amazing artist who taught himself to draw and had such raw talent. Chris was also musically inclined and had written a few songs by creating the beats as well as writing the lyrics.
Chris was a senior at Valley High School and had just turned eighteen. He had a close-knit friend group and enjoyed spending every day at West Des Moines Library. He attended church at Valley Church every Sunday. He was loved by the community and brought joy to all who knew him. Christopher will be greatly missed.
He was the beloved son of Eboni Davis; younger brother to Devante Davis; the best friend of his sister, Mariah Wadlington; and a great big brother to his baby sister, Grace Davis.
