Aimee Clement Keenan, age 48, died Nov. 4th at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Aimee was born to Eugene and Mary Moore Clement at Iowa Methodist Medical Center December 2, 1972. She was a 1991 graduate of Valley HS in West Des Moines and of St. Cloud State University in 1996. Following graduation she worked as a Medical Social Worker at Iowa Methodist. On April 14, 2001 Aimee married David D. Keenan. They were parents of son Quade and daughter Quincey. In spite of nearly life-long health issues, Aimee lived life to the fullest and was proud to be a fireman’s wife. Aimee always found great meaning and fulfillment in helping people, especially during times of need. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends in the Brainerd Lakes Area , annual trips to Ft. Myers Beach, and with her pets, cats and a German Shepherd.
Aimee is survived by her children, Quade and Quincey both at home. Also surviving are her parents Eugene and Mary Moore Clement, formerly of West Des Moines and now of Crosslake, MN, her brother Chris (Lisa) of Clive. Also surviving are two step-children, Dr. Ali Keenan London (Dr. Dan) of Columbia, MO, and Logan (Annie) Keenan of Windsor Hts., as well as her mother-in-law, Nancy Keenan of Grimes. and niece and nephew, Megan and Ryan Clement of Clive. She was preceded in death by her husband, David, in 2017, her father-in-law Dean Keenan of Grimes, her paternal grandparents Alan and Erma Clement of Des Moines and Howard and Inez Hasty Moore of Jefferson.
Funeral services will be at West Des Moines Christian Church, 4501 Mills Civic Pkwy. of which she was a member. For date and time, contact McLaren’s Resthaven Chapel. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for Quade and Quincey’s college educations.
