Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the family is unable to schedule services. Provided are amazing memories etched in our hearts forever. Please keep the family in your prayers as we walk hand in hand through our grieving process.
Roberto Morales was married to Connie Sanchez Morales on November 15, 1960 in Anapra, New Mexico. Their marriage came to an end after 59 years.
Our father was known for his tenacity to protect his family. One of his characteristics was his generosity in helping the less fortunate seek a better life. He provided shelter - sometimes even in his own vehicles - and provided meals. He had the ability to give people a sense of worth all the while guiding them to be self-sufficient. His son Gabriel once commented, “Dad was my friend and mentor. He taught me everything I know. Best of all, he was my ‘FATHER’”!
Roberto provided assistance to his siblings in starting their lives in the United States. Following that, he also assisted his children in placing their foothold in the adult world until they were able to fend for themselves. Our father was a very strong-minded and hard man. He guided his daughters to be independent. He made sure we had a wealth of knowledge about life so as to better survive in this world. Despite any shortcomings he may have had with his children, he made sure his grandchildren had a better experience with him as a grandfather.
Roberto is survived by his wife, Connie Morales; his children Gabriel Morales, Leticia Morales Corral, Patricia Morales, Norma Morales Corona, Yvette Morales Hunt and Dolores Morales Leon; his grandchildren Rafael Retana Jr. Veronica Corral, Laura Morales Jimenez, Steve Robert Retana, Samuel Corral Jr., Lissette Corona, Lillian Corona, Gabriel Morales Jr., Lauren Corona, Jessica Morales Cruz, Andrew Huerta, Adelina Hunt, Adam Hunt, Elena Leon, and Gary Leon; and by his great grandchildren Miranda Morales, Cadiz Retana, Ria Retana, Melina Jimenez, Jimmy Jimenez II., Rafael Marcel Retana III, Mikaela Garcia, Chloe Leon, Layla Leon, Isabel Higgs, and William Higgs.
Roberto was preceded in death by his siblings Estella M. Olivares, Manuel Morales, and Julian Morales; and by his parents Tomas Morales and Antonia Ramirez Morales. He is survived by his sisters Esther Morales Robles and Raquel Morales Galaviz.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.FunerariadelangelWC.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Our father always had a desire to help the children who also suffer from cancer, as he did.
