Esperanza Lopez Reyes

Left to cherish her memory, is her spouse Bernardo Reyes, her children Rosa (Adam) Montelongo, Alex Reyes, Fernando (Ninfa†) Reyes, Juan (Judith) Reyes, Ana (Adan) Solis, Rocio (Jesse) Contreras, Consuelo (Hilda) Reyes, Enrique (Carmen) Lopez, and Crystal Newell. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Esperanza is preceded in death by her parents Ricardo Lopez and Consuelo Arratia and her siblings Enrique Lopez and Ofelia Salas.

Esperanza was a God loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved tending to her garden, planting flowers and took great pride in that. Esperanza had a witty sense of humor and loved to joke around and enjoy life. But most of all she loved her family. Her passion was cooking for all and making sure everyone was fed. Her family is the legacy she leaves behind. She will be greatly missed, and will forever live in our hearts.

A visitation for Esperanza will be held Monday, March 25, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary recited at 7:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Highland, 6705 North Fm 88, Weslaco, Texas 78596. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsa, followed by the burial at 2:00 PM at Highland Memorial Park, Weslaco, Texas 78596.
