David Silva

David Silva, 60, from Elsa, TX entered his eternal rest on March 14, 2018. He was born on February 23, 1958 to Pedro G. Silva+ and Ramona Silva from Edcouch, TX. He married Sylvia P. Silva, his high school sweetheart and their love brought 3 children. David will greatly be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather “papom” who cared deeply for his family. He was kindhearted and always extended a helping hand to anyone who needed it. David’s personality captivated the hearts of many, and the ones who truly got to know him felt his love was beyond measure. He was a true light to the people he surrounded himself with.

David is preceded in death by his father Pedro G. Silva and survived by his wife, Sylvia P. Silva; 3 children, Christina Marie (Ruben) Hernandez, David (Marivel) Silva Jr., and Celina Ann Silva; 5 grandchildren; Mother, Ramona Silva; sister, Sylvia (Manuel+), and brothers, Pedro Jr., Juan (Gisela), Francisco (Careen), Miguel (Gabriela), and Homero (Lydia); and numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing will be Sunday March 18, 2018 from 10am – 1pm private family viewing, followed by public viewing at 1pm-9pm, and rosary at 7pm. Mass will be on March 19, 2018 at 11 am at the Sacred Heart Church in Elsa, TX, followed by burial service at Highland Cemetery Park in Weslaco, TX.
