Adrian Emmanuel Velis, 42, our Angel flew home on Monday, August 15, 2022 at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco, leaving a legacy of honor and love. His mother, Maria Cordero, had the privilege to see him grow and enjoy his love. He honorably served in the US Marine Corp for eight years and had great love and loyalty to his country. Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Candice Velis; siblings: Melba Velis, Adan Velis, Melissa Velis, Alan Velis, James Cordero and Aaron Cordero. He will also be greatly missed by his extended family: mother and father in law: Claire and Lawrence Ayer; nephews and nieces: Martin Chicoine, Mina Chicoine, Lico Velis, Lucian Velis, Karina Garcia, Kristian de Anda, Michael Angelo Garcia; aunts: Maria Trinidad Gomes, Martha Franco, Leticia Ruiz, Maria Guadalupe Ruiz, Maria Isabel Ruiz, Alma Ruiz Ann, Anita, Sue, Rita; uncles: Bob, Arthur, Paul and many cousins. Adrian was loved by many and will be greatly missed. His wife, Candice, mother, Maria, mother-in-law, Claire and aunt, Alma were by his side until the end.
Military Honors will take place at the Rio Grande Valley State Veteran Cemetery in Mission on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 10 am followed by the placement of cremated remains.
