Ruby Jeanette Harris Greene

Ruby Jeanette Harris Greene, 70, a resident of Welsh left this earth Saturday, April 11, 2015. She is now in the presence of the Lord she loved so much and served so well. She was a registered nurse and had recently retired from Golden Age of Welsh as the Director of Nursing.

Survivors include her daughter, Rene Freeland and husband Brennan of Hathaway; her son Tom Ed Roe “Trey” of Watson; sisters, Allie Giggar of Welsh, B.G. Gayle and husband Kevin of Lafayette; and brother, Glenn Harris and wife Ann of Baton Rouge; grandchildren: Tommy, Hunter, Laci, and Mia Roe; and Barrett Freeland.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, Valmond John Harris and Ruby Charlotte Lott Harris and a brother, Valmond James Harris “Static.”

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015, at First Baptist Church of Welsh at 9:30 a.m. The Memorial Service will follow at 10:30. Brother Pat Deshotel will officiate. The burial took place at Resthaven Cemetery in Baton Rouge.
