Jessie was a lifelong resident of Roanoke and graduated from Welsh High School class of 2017 where he was well known by everyone. He was known as one of the highlights of the Friday night football games and when Welsh scored, he ran the flag, better known as "GOOOO Jessie". Jessie was a member of Living Way Pentecostal Church in Lake Charles and loved going to church camp in Tioga, LA. where he served as a youth counselor and worked in the kitchen. Football was his passion and he knew the game through and through. He was always the one in a group of friends that had the biggest smile and heart. Jessie will be remembered for being outspoken and the guy that had more love to give than anyone.
He went to culinary school at SOWELA technical college and was employed with Horseshoe Casino and Hotel.
Those left to cherish his memory are his father, Ronald Bonnette, Sr.; mother, Cheryl Bonnette; siblings, James Brian Bonnette and wife Gwenda, Corey Braud, Ronald Bonnette, Jr. and wife Glenda, Gregory Scott Bonnette, Ashley Nicole Putney and husband Andrew, Ashley Marie Keil and husband Brady, and Nathaniel Seth Bonnette; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jay and Nita Duplantis; maternal grandparents; Aurelian "John" Cormier, Jr. and Anais Cormier; and aunts and uncles, Jimbo Bonnette, Karen Bonnette, Francis Philpot, and Kelly Bonnette.
The family will welcome relatives and friends for visitation on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Living Way Pentecostal Church beginning at 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. and will resume at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh on Thursday, December 22, 2022 beginning at 8:00 a.m. until the time of services. A Celebration of Life will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Ardoin Cove in Lacassine.
In lieu flowers donations can be made to the funeral home to help with Jessie's funeral expenses.
