Truly, the best mom ever, Barbara was a loving and adoring mother and grandmother to her two children and grandchildren. She lived for them and they were her pride and joy. Her hobby in life revolved around spending time with her family. Barbara worked in the past as both a hair dresser and insurance agent.
Those left to cherish Barbara's beautiful memory are her children, Tresa Hornsby and her spouse, Lisa, and Mitchel Hornsby and his spouse, Heather; her grandchildren, Emma and Carson Hornsby; her brother, Barry Mallet; her nephew & godchild, Wesley Mallet and her friend & neighbor, Sandy.
She was reunited in heaven with her father and mother, Arthur Mallet and Aline Landry Mallet.
The family requests that a time of visitation be observed on Friday, April 29, 2022 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm with a rosary being prayed at 6:30am at J.E. Hixson & Sons Funeral Home in Welsh. Visitation will resume on Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 10am until time of services at 2pm at J.E. Hixson & Sons Funeral Home. Decon Wayne Chapman will preside over the services.
In keeping with Barbara's wishes, graveside services will be held privately by the family at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Barbara's memory at a charity of choice.
