Susan, a beautiful person, inside and out.   My sister Marilyn (her college roommate) introduced us and the three of us lived together in San Francisco in 1969.  Susan did most of the cooking, turning simple foods into healthy dinners for us.  I remember watching the Moon Landing together in our sparsely furnished apartment. Though I remained in CA, I saw her almost every year when I visited family in CT. 
The three of us gals enjoyed adventures at Cape Cod. at Marilyn's and Susan's homes  taking long walks, visiting museums, shopping, bike riding, lunches and dinners out but most of all we enjoyed our 5 pm cocktails together.   We told each other secrets we shared with no others, often falling into fits of uproarious laughter.  I still wear the T-shirt she gave us saying, "We are a Team," with our 3 initials .  . . 
always so thoughtful, generous and stylish.   That was Susan. . . Unforgettable! 

Susan was one of the best people I’ve ever known. We became friends when she was in third grade and I was in fifth. When I had to withdraw from my first year in college and lose a year because of illness, and sank very low, she became the best friend I ever had, and very likely saved me. “You never forget the person who came to you with a torch in the dark.” An extraordinary beauty, she was nonetheless ever humble and gracious to everyone. When she smiled, it was with her whole being. I will miss her forever. 

One of the nicest people I ever met. High school years are remembered with great fondness. Rest in peace, heavenly angel now.
