Laurene Susan Griffin, of North Eastham, Massachusetts passed away suddenly on December 14, 2019.
She was born in Mount Kisko NY, and moved to Cape Cod with her family in 1971.
Laurene attended Nauset High School and graduated from Ithaca College with a degree in teaching. She played multiple sports in high school and was a member of the women’s crew team at Ithaca.
Laurene considered herself a life long Cape Codder and returned to the Cape after living in California and Florida for a number of years. She had a great love for the ocean, gardening, cooking, game nights, walking on the beach and beautiful sunsets. Spending time with family and friends was very important to her.
She is preceded in death by her father, Donald J. Griffin. Laurene is survived by her loving mother, Mary Griffin, brothers Steve and Mark (Darby) Griffin, nieces and nephews; Cory, Alexa, Brianna, Christian, Sydney, Hannu, Cali, Finnian and many family members and friends.
Laurene was a kind and generous person. She will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass, celebrating Laurene’s life on January, 4, 2020 at 10:00 AM at St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, 61 Canal Road, Orleans, Ma 02653.
