Wanda was born in Ft. Worth, Texas, on October 27, 1939, to Leota and Lewis Smith. Her favorite scripture as a child was John 3:16.
Wanda was married to James Peyton Arnold for 31 years before his passing in 1993. She was a devoted wife and homemaker for many years and was also a loving mother to Kimberly Currier. Years after her husband’s death, Wanda developed a close friendship with Herbert Jack Hart for many years before his passing, too.
Wanda was active in her local community and church. She had a gift for helping others throughout her life and was passionate about her grandchildren, Kailey and Mason Currier.
Wanda’s favorite promise from God was that He would never leave nor forsake her. Her favorite scripture as an adult was Psalm 23, and her favorite prayer was “The Lord’s Prayer”.
She will be laid to rest, next to her husband, at Forest Park East Cemetery in Houston, TX.

She is survived by daughter, Kimberly Currier and son-in-law Matthew Currier of Nashville, TN; granddaughter, Kailey Currier of Nashville, TN; grandson, Mason Currier of Nashville, TN; sister, Linda Henry, of Haltom City, TX; Brother, Donald Smith of Haltom City, TX.
