Sergio Arturo Garcia, 55, of Houston, Texas passed away on February 1, 2021. He was born in Honduras on December 23, 1965. Sergio graduated from South Houston High School and received a bachelor’s degree in behavioral science-psychology from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. He married Delmy Garcia on April 25, 1998 and was married for 22 years.
Sergio had a career as a financial aid advisor at San Jacinto College for over 15 years. He had a passion for helping his students and offering them, the best advice, and resources. He was a member of Centro Evangelico Cristiano. He had a passion and love for God. Sergio was a loving and caring soul. He was always willing to help others out when they needed it. He loved to joke around and make others laugh. He enjoyed watching movies with the family, especially after a long day at work. He always looked forward to the annual summer road trips. His family were his pride and joy, he was always giving them the best. Sergio was the person to go to when you needed advice, help or a shoulder to cry on. He would always say “Pase lo que pase nunca te apartes de los caminos de Dios”. This is what we will miss the most about Sergio, we will always love him, carry him, and the beautiful memories in our hearts.
Sergio was preceded in death by mother Tesla C. Lozano.
He is survived by, his wife Delmy Garcia, son Miguel A. Garcia, daughters Arianna I. Garcia and Brianna A. Garcia, uncle Carlos Moreno, cousins Abraham Martinez, Carla Moreno and Carlos Gabriel Moreno, sisters in law Gladis Tenorio and Martha Ortez, brothers in law Geovani Canales, Miguel Tenorio and Armando Ortez, niece Emily Ortez, nephews Geovanni Canales Mendoza and Armando Ortez.
