Robert Eugene (Paw-paw) Hardesty, Sr. was born on June 22, 1923 in Sault St. Marie, Michigan. He died at the age of 90 on December 31, 2013 in Pasadena, Tx.
Robert served in the Army Air Corps. during WWII. When the Korean War broke out, he re-enlisted in the Air Force.
Robert lived in Pasadena for over sixty years. He retired from Champion Paper Company after many years of employment.
Robert was an avid golfer and an enthusiastic supporter of the University of Michigan Wolverine football team.
Robert is survived by his wife of 68 years, Hazel Hardesty; sons Robert Eugene, Jr. and William Albert Hardesty; sister, Joy Archer; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Albert Virgil and Maybel Alice Hardesty; brother, Albert Hardesty; sister, Dolores Wilson; and son, Lawrence David Hardesty.
