When the family settled in 1972 in Clear Lake City, Texas, a Houston suburb, Rhana had found her true hometown.
Ever the erudite and diligent student, Rhana excelled in every subject from elementary through high school. Rhana graduated Summa Cum Laude from UHCL in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Rhana gained employment with Pennzoil Corporation as an accountant and ultimately became a Certified Public Accountant. Rhana retired from Pennzoil after 20 years. Never one to be idle she continued her professional interests by providing bookkeeping services at multiple small businesses.
For fun, Rhana enjoyed all types of dancing from disco to country & western. She also enjoyed attending concerts, especially at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo.
Spending time with family was the center of Rhana’s life. Her lifelong devotion to her parents was ever present. As she was the oldest, supporting her siblings in all their endeavors came naturally. She especially treasured becoming an aunt and eagerly babysat her nieces and nephew whenever possible.
Rhana was fortunate to have many kind and compassionate caretakers. The family is especially grateful for the attentive and loving care provide to Rhana by Weah Scogin and Jamelyn Rodgers.
