She was born in Hollidays Cove (now Weirton), West Virginia to William Henry and Edna Marie Horstman.
She met the love of her life Charles Fox and they married on November 11, 1946. They moved to Martinsville, VA and lived there until 1993 when they moved to Texas to be near their son and grandchildren. Norma Lou was a master jeweler and loved creating all sorts of crafts including over thirty handmade quilts. But there was nothing that she loved more than sharing stories and being with her family.
She is preceded in death by daughter Susan Marie; parents, William Henry and Edna Marie Horstman; sisters, Aileen Cameron and Juanita Potts.
Survivors include husband of 75 years Charles Fox, Webster, TX; son, Richard Fox (Jane) of Santa Fe, TX; grandchildren, Lisa Fox-Thomas (Ben) of High Point, NC, Charles “Brad” Fox (Wendy) of Nacogdoches, TX, Jennifer Voyles (Koda) of Santa Fe, TX, and Dylan Fox (fiancée Danielle) of Nacogdoches, TX; great-grandchildren, Desiree, Caleb, Grace, Faith, Megan, Ivy, Keaton, and Lily; brothers William “Bill” Horstman (Toot) of Weirton,WV, Dick Horstman (Pat) of Burgettstown, PA; sister, Ruth Ann Fliermans (Carl) of Augusta, GA; sister-in-law, Sally Pacobit (Eddie) of Weirton, WV; and many special nieces and nephews.
A family visitation and graveside service will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021, at Forest Park East Funeral Home and Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to caregiver and friend Estefana for the kindness and care that was provided over the past several years and to the staff at Regency Village.
